This app serves as a comprehensive guide, assisting users in understanding the science of sleep, establishing positive sleep routines, and optimizing their sleep environment. By utilizing evidence-based strategies, CBT-i Coach offers a structured program that has been proven to enhance sleep quality and alleviate insomnia symptoms.

CBT-i Coach should be viewed as a supplement to face-to-face care provided by healthcare professionals. While it can be used independently, it is not intended to replace therapy for individuals who require it.

The development of CBT-i Coach draws upon the manual, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Veterans, authored by esteemed practitioners Rachel Manber, Ph.D., Leah Friedman, Ph.D., Colleen Carney, Ph.D., Jack Edinger, Ph.D., Dana Epstein, Ph.D., Patricia Haynes, Ph.D., Wilfred Pigeon, Ph.D., and Allison Siebern, Ph.D. This app harnesses the efficacy of CBT-i in improving sleep for both Veterans and civilians.

A collaboration between VA's National Center for PTSD, Stanford School of Medicine, and DoD's National Center for Telehealth and Technology brought CBT-i Coach to fruition.

Furthermore, CBT-i Coach seamlessly integrates with the Apple Health app and Fitbit to further enhance user experience and effectiveness.
